Born as Perla Andrea Meneses on the sixth of February, 1981 in Barranquilla Colombia. Attended Abraham Lincoln School throughout most of her childhood and excelled at choir and violin classes for 9 years. also part of the elite orchestra "Batuta" and played for Colombia's first lady in 1992. At the tender age of 15, decided to pursue my dreams as a singer songwriter in the united states, BY herself. enrolled in Spanish River High School in Boca Raton Florida where i became an essential part of the school's choir, attending Epcot Center's "Christmas Candlelight Procession" which consist of over 500 school's most promising singers in the country for three consecutive years. also participated in district competitions on the school's behalf. Once graduated, enrolled in the ARMY Reserves which i served proudly for two years. upon my return, i continued to pursue my life long dream. started working as a free lance singer doing home studio productions and writing lyrics. ive been writing since the age of 9. Then Met the lead signer of the 1980's group Linear Mr. Joey Restivo who introduced her to producer Atom Troy. worked on a project called South Beach Extremes which was a dance compilation CD that contained two tracks penned and sung by her. "Boys & Girls" and "Save Me" became two of the best tracks in the compilation. also participated in the compilation's infomercial that was shot for nationwide release. With that project, was an opening act for Snoop Dog and was a featured artist in Ultra Dance Festival '00 held in Miami. continued to sing and write for Nebulous Records and released the single "Colombia". Also collaborating with Mocean Record's Primary Source in a track called "What You Want". has worked with producer Greg Steiner and has done several tracks for upcoming reggeaton artist Emilio, all featured in his upcoming album. She also performed with him in Miami's '05 Calle Ocho Festival to amazing reviews. Has been working with Carlos Galavis, a.k.a. Kriya, for the last 3 years developing a project by the name of Twenty-four/7. Its a fantastic mix of pop R&B and dance. A dancer by nature, choreographed many of her shows and enjoys studio work like no other. Im a girl that came to this country to show the world what im made of.
